Well had a good time fishing today.Skip an I Got out today. We tryed for some channels.But by the time I left WE got skunked! Maybe skip got some.Before he left.Sure was good to get out.And fish with another member.Thanks again for letting me tag along Skip.
randy, skip was using them new gourmet garlic flavored hotdogs with the sharp chedder cheese was he? I told him they don't hit them until spawn!! :roll_eyes: rollo
Sorry about your luck bro (or lack there of). Bright side though is that you were able to get out there on the water. So I hope that you at least had some fun:wink:.

remember the worst day of fishing is lots better than yer best day at work lol, better luck next time, i wanted to get out but still iced over here at the lake and the river is a lil too high and muddy for my taste
It started off as an ordeal just to catch some shad lol. Lots of water coming out of the spillway, so no shad in there. I went to the pond downstream and spent 25 minutes breaking ice with my cast net to punch out a 15ft hole so my net would sink lol. Then we went to the backwater area but they had let so much water out of the lake, there was just the river channel out in the middle of a huge mud flat. Tried a few spots along there, then at the boat ramp, then back to the spillway. Not even a single nibble. I stayed till 3pm and no luck. Thanks for meeting up Luckey, We'll do better next time. I don't get skunked often.
The way the Raccoon and the Licking are running ... it won't take too long to fill Dillon up ........ Garry- :cool2:
I hope so, Its great fishing up there when the water is high. All that current pulls them out of the lake. We saw where the water had been up over the road and into the woods on the other side. There was 1&a half inch ice in the woods that was left when the water receded, plus tons of dead 1 inch shad laying everywhere on the ground. Thats why the cats were up in there.
im gonna have to make a shad run here soon, not looking forward to playing with the cast net in the cold, owell gotta get bait.
