Channel catfish pics

    Here's a few pictures of some channel cats we've been catching here lately. The two biggest ones came on live bluegills that were very large.

    Preciate it guys! I'm really hoping that the channel cat bite this winter is like every other year but last year. That's when the big boys really start to bite. Me and a friend caught and released a 38", 35", and 32" channel cats in one night. You can really get on them. My brother and I caught 15 in about an hour and a half and none of them were under 5lbs and most were 10+. Last winter however we pretty much caught nothing. Hopefully this year will be better.

    We caught all of these below a diversion dam on the loup river in Nebraska. All of them were caught using circle hooks and pink Zote soap!! Didnt catch anything on crawlers, liver, stink bait, or minnows!! We were the only ones out of about 20 people there that day that caught anything worth keeping! All total we had 19 channel cats between 3 and 5 lbs. Needless to say, we had an awesome fish fry that weekend!!!
