Caught this 22" channel today....yep that's it ...tuff bite today.

As I was cleaning him out, he was plum full of tiny snails. I know that cats will eat just about anything, but it was the first time that I have cleaned one with these tiny little snails. It was kinda suprising to me that they would "snarf" the little things up when there are much bigger things to eat. Maybe he was calcium deficient or perhaps a French cat ?

Oh yeah..This is particularly common especially for channel cats..Those guys spend all day rummaging for anything to eat..They never stop feeding..

I've noticed that before in channels and bullheads out of the river. In the lake the channels are often full of those little clams.
