whats your favorithe bait
skipjack and bream..
small 3 to 4 in bluegill alive under a float get me big catches not #s but big 10 plus pounders least 2 a night ususally
Fresh cut bream.I take them right from the bait bucket still alive.(i catch them just before dark)Cut the head and tail off hook them up and cast them out.I fish cove openings and just wait for the cats to come in.
For eaters it's chicken livers and nighcrawlers.
For size it's warmouths and creek chubs(4 to 6inchers)
Dead chubs for channels.
It's getting to that time of year and water temp's to really hammer the channel cats on Team catfish secret 7 bait.
For eating size Sonny's
It all depends on the time of year.
Springtime: Shad Gizzards, Shrimp, Nightcrawlers and Cutbait.
Summertime: Bloodbait, Dipbait and Livebait ( bluegills, alewifes, shad, etc.)
Fall: Livebait, Cutbait, maybe some Shad Gizzards
Little smokies work good for me.
worms & cut shad or bluegill
secret 7, nightcrawlers, cut shad or bluegills
Do you use the furry thang? If so, what hook style/size? How do you rig it? Thanks
I use Live Minnows, Chicken Livers, and Worms.
i would have to say shiners fresh or frozen, catalpa worms (seasonal), dip bait, are my normal go to baits.
