chamois missouri

    Anyone around chamois doing any fishing on the river?Wheres the fish biting there?

    I put in at Hermann Mo ramp which is i think 1 ramp downstream from the chamois one.Actually u can launch at the town of gasconade and go bout a 1/3 mile and hit the river too.That stretch of river is actually pretty featureless as far as sharp bends go.Most of the good fish are caught in the deeper holes above and below the wing dams the only way to find em is to sonar em with yer fish finder.Also alot of channels are caught on the sand bar sections between the dams and these are good for blues of a night time.There is a conservation island called "tates island" somewhere round chamois that has a promising looking chute on it
