Well it's official the water is back at Delaware. Levels appear to be above normal pool . All 3 concrete boat docks at the ramps are under water. If launching your boat bring your waders. Rental wooden boat docks have been put in place at the main marina as well as the southern boat ramp area. Those familiar with the dredging equipment at the southern ramp facing the dam, it is being hosed down and gathered up to be removed - this stuff has been here all winter long. Dam is open and water is moving quickly down stream. With this over flow and other rivers and streams flowing south it will contribute to rising water levels on the Ohio River.

Conditions at Alum are still low, rising slowly - as normal Alum is less effected by rain fall and drainage compared to Delaware. Back water coves along North Old State Rd have not filled yet - muddy bottoms still exposed, main channel is slowly starting to fill in these areas. Conditions at Howard Rd boat ramp still low many gravel bars still exposed - water level has risen only slightly in this area. Boat ramp here is still usable - would assume the other ramps usable as well . No sign of top water shad movement at either location. With water levels rising at both areas be on the look out for floating debris .

Just an update on Delaware as of last night around 10:pM, levels have dropped a bit from having the dam open. Southern boat ramp dock now usable without getting your feet wet. A major portion of the main marina boat ramp dock is now above water - later today and this weekend for sure it should be completely dry. Also the dredging equipment has not been moved, Wednesday must have been a make work day . There were 3 state parks dept. trucks, several other vehicles , a crane and 8 workers Wednesday - it looks like the only that got done was jocking around a few pieces of equipment and some power washing. I guess they're going to continue using the trailer parking area a little longer with this stuff.
