Center Street and Scott Street Dam

    Excuse my ignorance, but i've never understood why so many fish congregate there. Can someone tell me why?

    dams are man-made barriers. the fish that swim downstream are trying to get back to their spawning locations that they return to every year. the dams don't let them.

    oh, thanks for the info man. I honestly thought it had something to do with baitfish and more oxygen in the water or something like that.

    Lots of people congregate there. Fish congregate at dams sometimes but different times for different fish, etc.

    Marcus hit the nail in the head, it is the same with bait fish as well, they can't go any farther upstream and get stopped there as well. Prime feeding ground.
