Hey everyone i was wondering how the ceadar river is for catfishing its always looked good in my opinion, my father and i went out last year and got a few nice hits but nothing landed. I was wondering if you all have any luck out there and what you use/set up etc. Any info would be great thanks~nick

I use to go to the ceder river near Conesville Iowa. We fished fore Flatheads We caught a lot of them in the 20-30 lb range. Bullheads, gills and creek cubs seem to work best . Used a lot of bank poles and also R&R ...

LOL. I guess I should look a little closer to where I am sticking my nose. I guess It can't hurt to hear about somewhere you didn't wanna know about.

You may want to check out the thread I started: "Flathead Catfish in Cedar Rapids". I'm going out there on April 10, and a lot of people have chimed in with some good advice on where to fish. Not sure if that's your neck of the woods, but if it's of any use, be my guest.
