    Carolina Catfish Club 2007 Tournaments




    14 October 2007 Mountain Island Lake / Mt. Island Access

    11 November 2007 Lake Wylie / South Point Access

    9 December 2007 Lake Norman / Hager’s Creek Access



    Overview
    The Carolina Catfish Club fall tournament series for 2007 will be a Cabela’s King Kat Classic qualifying event. The top two anglers from each tournament will qualify for the Cabela’s King Kat Classic in 2008. Awards will be paid to the top two finishers in each event.


    Rules
    -All NCWRC and SCDNR regulations apply
    -Five fish limit / live fish only to be weighed
    -Launch at 7:00am and in line for weigh-in at 3:00pm
    -$20.00 entry fee per person
    -Fish must be caught on rod and reel / hook and line during tournament hours, on the tournament date, and on the lake fished
    -All fishing must be from a boat / no trailering allowed
    -All participants muse leave from launch site by boat
    -Tournament events are open to all current CCC members
    -A maximum of two people per boat, but a third person can fish if they are under 16 years old, over 65, or
    legally disabled.
    -Top two places split the pot 70/30


    Points
    The overall series winner will be decided on points based on the place finished in each event.
    1st Place…10 Points
    2nd Place…8 Points
    3rd Place…6 Points
    4th Place…4 Points
    5th & below…2 Points
    Big Fish…2 Points

    Results from each tournament and a rundown of the points standings will be available exclusivley here at www.catfish1.com

    If you are not a member of the CCC and you want to fish the CCC Fall Tournament Series you can do so by paying $20 membership dues on the day of the tournament. We welcome all that want to fish with us on this trail.

    Anyone wanting to join the club so that they can fish the events, or pay their entry fee early, can do so at the club meeting Ocotber the 10th at the Gander Mountain store in Mooresville at 7:00pm.

    Is the tourney gonna be out of Nivens now?I know there was talk about moving it to another lake at one time,or is it still at south pointe?Just wanted to clarify,me and my brother are considering coming out and joining the club and fishing with you guys,if you will have us?:big_smile:

    Yes it is going to be out of Nivens. Its the only ramp open on the lake.

    Hope to see you guys there...

    Yes, Nivens Creek Access area off Dam Road, which is off Hwy. 160 in York County is where the event will start from at 7:00pm Sunday November 11th.

    thanks dieter,hopefully you meant 7am:wink:,we may be there,we will decide tommorow,we may make a donation,its a shame that wylie is 15 minutes from my house and have never went fishing there just to target catfish,always been to wylie for crappie and elsewhere for catfish,maybe that will change after sunday,hopefully the bite will be strong with or without us:big_smile:

    i was looking at the rules,didnt see mention of rods,How many can be used at one time?Also do you do a big fish pot?just wondering.

    We are following the King Cat rules and only using 6 rods. There is not a big fish pot. Just $20 per person.
