cawtawba trees &worms

    i have a friend here in ohio that swears this tree produces a great catfish bait .i have heards of both but never tried it as bait .how true and how well does the bait work!

    I have read about those but are they catalpa worms either way it said slice them and turn them inside out and stick em on a hook :wink:

    Your friend is giving you some good info. Not all trees produce every year. If you have access to one you have hit gold. The catfish love them and these worms will produce big stringers of fish.:0a26:

    I think for catfish 5 lb. and under there is no better bait than a catalpa
    worm. and you will catch bigger fish from time to time.
