Decided to hit the river today for an hour or so, being I had to make some errands for Sarah. Took two light tackle spinning rods, and a can of sweet corn. Broke off a pretty darn good fish before I caught this 25 pound dandy on 10 pound fireline! No it's not a cat! Not a bird! Not a train!!!!!.....:smile2: A BIG Carp!!!!!:eek:oooh: My PB, on light-line. Let me tell ya, if you have never tried catching these fish on a river system on light tackle, you are missing out on a ton of fun!!!! Especially young kids! Very abundant in most places, and fairly easy to catch 10 plus pound fish on a simple setup! If you don't have much time, or wanna have some different fishing than cattin, give it a try on light tackle... Guarenteed You Will Have A BLAST!!!! Here's the pic.s......rollo

Trash fish? I've caught so many 10 - 20 lb carp on light tackle, and it's a fuuuuuuuuuun ride!

    Great catch!

there are alot of dedicated carp fishermen who do not consider them trash.

I have never caught a big carp, trophy carp can be very tough to catch, and a tue challenge in my book.

    Great fish Jason.
