I,ve been fishing a lot of years to get my first giant blue cat ,and i finally caught it today.I did not have scales but i know this fish was at least 13 lbs. It wore out my new rhino like it was a junk zebco 33. I caught this giant at the Clouse lake splillway fishing with chunks of cheese, "chedar" I will try to get some pics of this beast up as soon as i can.

I don't use cheese much, because I get hungry and eat it! That blue sounds like a dandy in the tailrace. Where you fishing on the bottom? Hannibal Mike

I m going to try to use some shad this weekend, i heard the blues like them better than cheese. i will still take a hunk just in case.it worked once !

Good luck! i've never used cheese for blues, only for my ham sandwiches, and if you were fishing for me you'd really catch a nice on, lol. But i have caught most my nice ones on shad. And nice fish! that 10 pound barrier is tough to beat but once u do look out. It took me almost 2 whole years to catch a 10+ blue, i finally did, with a 11 pounder. The next night we went back out, and i had dreams of a 15 pounder. I got a 37 instead! so keep it up and u'll be posting about your monster any day!
