I was fishing on the Scioto yesterday 9/30 and caught my first flathead in the river. It was only 5 lbs but I dont care. I was still pumped. I have caught plenty of channel catfish in my life but this was my first flathead. Hopefully I'll catch more and bigger ones in the future. This is only the beginning. I also included a pic of my lil buddy, a raccoon that was hanging out with me beggin for food all night.

Hey, Logan, got my first one this year, too, so I know the feeling well...

It's great, ain't it? Keep at it, and the numbers will keep going up and up...

At least, that's what they tell me....

    Congrats on your flathead catfish!

I wonder if the coon was somebody's pet?

I have a few big ones around the property here, but they are not friendly :smile2:

Yea that coon was so friendly he would have jumped up on my lap if I was holding food up. Wasnt afraid of me at the least. He would have eaten right out of my hand. Pretty cool actually.

Welp I was going out again Saturday night if everything works out. I'm going to my neighborhood pond tonight to catch some bullheads and I'll be up tomorrow catching bluegills and trappin chubs. I was thinking about trying another spot though. The spot I was at was really shallow. I was hoping the rain will bring the water level up. Let me know maybe we could meet out there or somethin.
