Hey Fellas, I hope everyone else's luck is goin like mine has the past 3 trips. As of only one week ago my PB catfish was a 23lb. Blue, well, last Thursday morning I shattered that when I caught a huge 43lb. Blue. It was a great fight as I was on a dock fishing the Ohio River. I caught em' on a freshly caught Skipjack's head, hooked through the eyes with a nice 8/0 circle hook. The blues must be thick and active in the area I am fishin, cause from the same dock I have caught atleast 6 or 7 other blues in the last week or so, including my new PB 43lber and a couple 19lbers as well. It's been a GREAT start to spring fishing for me, and a real fun time. When we weighed this big guy we were weighing him on some guy's electronic weighing scale that he uses for his job, workin on refrigerators. They are deadly acurate scales because of how precise the things that he weighs have to be. (I forgot my scale) so we layed a board on it and set it equal to zero before putting the catfish on. It read 43 lbs but me and some of the others who held the fish and got some good looks at it guessed it heavier... maybe 50 or so. Does anyone else think it looks that big. Because I cant help but wonder if the way we just layed em on there if it got a truely acurate read. O Well, Im not complaining, 43lbs is unbeleiveable to me.
