Welcome to BOC Aaron, I've had the catmax rods since they first came out. I find them to be a good solid rod for the money, I bought all mine on sale. The only complaint I have is the eyes do bend rather easy. Still they are my favorite rods, they just feel solid when you hook into a big catfish. I have 8', 9' and 10' rods.

I have a Cat Maxx 8' that I use for drifting blood. I really like the limber tip and the backbone the rod has. I would'nt try to horse a big cat out of cover with it though. But for the money it is a great rod for lighter duty usage.
