i fish some smaller rivers here in WV and I got the fever. What water temps do you like to see when chasing channel cats? I always went when I wanted but I do love catching them. The trout steams are getting busy so it`s time to target cats.

I fish for blues year round. I don't know if you have blues there or not, if its just channels I start fishing for them when the water temp. hits 50*. I do catch some year round but I don't fish for them year round.

The river I fish is small. like 30 yrds across and the deepest holes are around 10 ft in that stretch. It is mostly channels and pesky azz bull heads. The temp seems to fluctuate alot this time of year in WV.
