Despite the forecast for severe weather, we loaded up the camping gear and went catfishing on the TN river this past weekend. But, this time we had my father-in-law and sister-in-law visiting from Michigan. They had never caught any descent cats before. We had a blast; caught fish right away Friday evening. It was awesome to watch them battle their first Blues. After dinner and everyone crashed, I fished solo the rest of the night. I caught several nice fish and got some more practice on my solo photography. The thunderstorms hit around 7am and lasted until 12pm. Just enough time to get some sleep. We were back on the water shortly afterwards and got into some good numbers. My father-in-law was unhooking a 24# Blue when the 43#er freight-trained one of the transom rods! Thought I had a new entry for the Spring Fish Off, but this fish was only 1# larger than my last entry  In total we had around 18 Blues with the two largest being 31# and 43#. We also caught 5 Flatheads (5-12#). Sunday after some pre-dawn fishing, I thought that our guests would really love to catch some big Skips. So we broke down camp and trailered over to Chick dam. I controlled the boat and Tricia unhooked the Skips. Needless to say, they had a blast! It took Sarah forever to actually get one in the boat. It became a joke, which is why she is making the crazy face in the picture :smile2: Time well spent with family! I have several pictures to share.
