Thought I would take a few minutes and re-trace my footprints of all the places I've lived and traveled over my lifetime, and take note of all the places where I have caught a catfish. I know it seems more than the average person but the folks moved a lot when I was a kid growing up. Did a lot of fishing with the ole man, grandpappy, uncles, cousins by the dozens and good friends. After graduating from high school, got in the telecom industry traveling the country as a contractor for over 20 some years, always hauling my fishing gear everywhere I went. Well here is a list of places that I can remember catching catfish across the united states. Heck! I bet I have fished right next to you and not even know it. What about you? As a kid, Lake Ellsworth near Lawton, Oklahoma was my favorite.

I really liked Watts Bar and the Hiwassee river in Tennessee.
