Me and Bryan hit the scioto for a few hrs today..We had live bluegill, and bass for bait..Could not get a hit on either..I decided to throw out my castnet and caught one very small shad, baited up with it and caught the 15-lb flat in the pic below..Other than that dink fish we caught nothing..the other pic shows the area we were fishing.

The only story was that I was really scared on this trip, this is the longest trip I have made on my boat, and with just a trolling motor I was very, very concerned if we would make it back..Probably went close to 2 miles.

Hey man, I'd take that flathead right about now, so far 0 flatheads for me this year, it's starting to get frustrating. But, as long as I'm still bringing in a lot of channels and many over 10lbs, I guess I can't complain too much. I haven't really been out fishing much in the last 2 weeks, I gotta get back on it.

I told Jack that if he posted about this trip that I was going to tell on him. I've decided not to poast as long a post, but here it is:

I have never seen Jack as scared as he was for NO reason!!! I drove down there for the 2nd time in two days (total of aprox 300 miles) & I am back home here ! 10:30PM, just as the Prime Flathead bite is happending! :sad2: Boat did extremely well, no poroblems. Let's just say that Ole Jack is not a "boater" & his boat & equipment is up for sale again! I told him that he will regret selling it, but he won't listen to me. :0a17:

Benji, when you are wanting a 50-lb fish, anything less is a dink..I catch lots of dinks:lol:
