We used to fish Stranger alot down in Linwood. Tried last year but couldn't get in by the RR bridge, to much over growth.
A lot of people still fish up around Easton and do well I hear.

I have not fished it up your way. But I have spent a lot of time fishing it from where it dumps into the Kaw & about 10 miles upstream. A lot of Flathead & Channels in the spring on this stretch.

During the flood of 93 I was able to travel up it further than any other time. I caught some of the biggest Channels ever in my life on Stranger in the flooded fields next to standing trees during this time.

Nothing better than flooded new ground for cats during spring rains. All baits are a go at this time.

casey theres a couple spots around jarblow we could get a john boat in my dad and i used to go in late winter early spring and we did real well in the cold water. because its easy to find the fish when its cold if you find a spot 5to8 foot deep youll normally do pretty good. im gonna give it a try as soon as ice is off ill let you know a day or two before i plan on heading out.
