I'm new to the forum. Does anyone have any information, tips, suggestions about catfishing in central virginia? I live around Charlottesville and don't have a boat. So it would need to be somewhere where I could fish from the bank. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hang in there, I know we have members in that area, and they will get you an answer soon. As for me, I would only know about Culpeper County lakes or Lake Orange, which is a nice lake.

Thanks fellas, I'll check it out. My father and grandfather used to fish Albemarle a long time ago. Oh, the stories. I'll try to get over there this summer. I've caught a few catfish in the local reservoir from time to time, but it's been a while.

I was wondering if it's worth it to try the James around Scottsville. I've only heard about people fishing for bream and small mouth that far up, though.

    Thanks again!
