I just want to Know what is Yall's favorite catfishing baits.
Include all kinds.
my favorite baits depend on what im going after so here is a little list
Channel cats: shirmp, chicken liver, nightcrawlers, cut shad and cut bream.
Blue cats: shirmp, nightcrawlers, cut shad, cut bream, live shad and live bream
flatheads: cut bream, live bream, cut shad and live shad.
i dont like any of the commercial dip or stink baits just never had any luck so i stick to these baits mostly. all of them (except maybe the liver) are really easy to work with so i dont spend time fiddling with my bait. just stick my hook in it and cast. i hope this helped you
Cut Shad or Gills for sure:big_smile:!
I would most likely say chicken livers but I have in the past also used chicken guts. The tend to stay on better than livers. On occasion I have also used calf liver.
Chicken Livers and Nightclawers.
It's cut shad or gills for Blues, live gills for flat head, worms for channels.
For channels - cut shad and stinkbait
For blues - large minnows, 4-6" shad, cut shad
For flatheads - live bluegill
channel = worms (in flood water) or sonny's
blues and flats = shad or gills
Chicken liver, cut shad or gills.
shrimp, sonnys, liver, shad, gills, worms, beef milt, grasshoppers, homemade stink bait, and pretty much anything else i can get my hands on lol

i like to use chicken live and i can get it to say on veryy well. all u have to do is keep hocking it through the meaty parts and it should stay on. i'm going to try some home made bait sone or laterand see how they work.

It really depends on the time of year. Channel Catfish I like many different baits.
Spring: Fresh cutbait- either white sucker or goldeye
late summer: Fresh cut sucker and frogs
late summer into fall: Frogs and the fresh cut sucker
cut shipjack or shad for blues and channels.
live bream or bullheads for flatheads.
Cut bluegill. Always catch something nice when using cut bluegill
I have friends that run shrimp boats in NE florida and SE Ga. Lots of time they catch small squid (body 2 to 4 inches long) cats like'em and they really stay on the hook. Plus if you can't go fishing some garlic and butter make the bait into people food....
Blues- cut shad, shrimp, nightcrawlers for eaters
Flathead- small brim
Channels- worms, liver, dead minnows, and dip bait
CHANNELS-WORMS ,SHRIMP,OR BEEF LIVER(IT STAYS ON THE HOOK) BLUES_SHAD OR CUT BAIT FLATS_LIVE BLUE GILLS
Lets not forget Deer liver
