I'm new to this site, but am not new to fishing Tennessee River, especially between Watts Bar and Chattanooga. I'm glad that I found this site, there's alot of good information here.

I like to fish fot cats just north of Blythes Ferry, used to fish below Watts Bar dam from the bank on the Rhea County side . I only tried it there one time this past year. If someone twists my arm enough i can be forced to Bass fish and crappy fish

I fish that area all the time, I usually put in at blythe-ferry or grasshopper. I really like the riprap bank along the big island on the main channel or the big white bluffs just up river from the island. The bluffs down around sale creek have also given up some big cats too. I'm just counting the days down till the crappie start moving into the shallow coves and creeks.
    You got a pm.

welcome to boc. i'm fairly new also at least to the new site. If you live in chattanooga you might want to head down to Nickajack dam. I've caught some very large cat down there. Especially below the dam in the old lock. largest one was 58lbs.
