Catfish size

    3lbs to 7lbs is perfect eater size!

    Deeadnaught is right on the money here although I will keep some blues up to 10 or 12 pounds. If you trim all the fat and red off they are good too. I guess I have gotten spoiled because I don't keep channel cats anymore at all.

    today my step dad caught a 14 lb channel and i cleaned it and took the meat off. so do u think i will stile be good and is the reason u dont eat cats that weigh alot becuase the meat is tough

    There are many reasons that I personally don't eat big fish but, that is a can of worms that you ain't look'n for, LOL!!!
    Yes, they do have a strange texture to them when they are bigger and, you have to waste alot of the poundage to get to good meat. So why waste a large fish to get the same amount of meat that a 7 pounder will render? Lotta work for such little meat , for me anyway!!!
