Catfish friends the catfish season is over. I went fishing Sunday and used every bait the pay lake had and went to every spot on the lake. I stayed all day and didnt get a nibble. Sorry everyone but I could be wrong. Here in Ohio its over though.

In PA you can still catch channels, but the flat bite is non-existant.

    I hate wintertime:angry:!

It's never over down here. Water temps hardly ever get below 40 and the blues will bite all year long .

Yep, techniques will have to change this time of year, but it doesn't end here in SC either, year around. Fish will be harder to find, but diligent efforts, and thorough searching should turn up some NICE fish. I like a challenge, and the solitude of the river in late fall/winter is enchanting.

Not here the channels are still going and a guy up north just got the state record channel a week ago at 53+ lbs the blues are just starting to show and our newest lake around here of 6 years, Diamond Valley Lake just put out the lake record blue at 42+ lbs, not bad for a 6 year old lake that had it's blues put in 7yrs ago, when they were first stocked they were between 5 and 10 lbs, Blues here bite best in the dead of winter when it rains the most, going to try for some flats this next weekend so dont know about that but should be still going

I live in central ohio and were still catching good fish! This is the best time to be on the lakes and rivers. No boat traffic and no bugs!

PAY LAKE...:eek:oooh: come on dude...even if you catch a biggin at a pay lake ...it doesn't qualify as a state or world record or a trophy for that matter by anybody's standards,.....the fish in my aquariums are harder to catch:smile2::smile2::smile2: fishing in ohio is good year round
