    that was a nice intertaining video , dean i remember when i was younger lol back in 1978 dad going out and coming in with a bunch of turtles but i dont recall him useing his bare hands he fashioned a hook with a T- handle if recollect right it was about seven foot long he would poke round on bottom till he found them . either way that takes alot of braviory to get out in those waters iv seen some big turtles in my day . havent you lol

    The only way I have ever seen anyone catch a turtle with bare hands they were on a road. They are really good to eat.

    its not necessarily the having a lot of bravery, its not having a lot of give a damn. haha i like my fingers to much to go after turtles...

    when i was a little boy my dad would go down to the creek and pull softshells out from under logs. but the creek was clear and he could see the tails. so i started doing it and it is harder than it looks. but fun. i wouldn't do it if i could not see them.

    I'd like to shake that dudes hand but I'm pretty sure after that many turtles the smell just doesn't wash off. What a maniac!

    I had Tim Farmer and Ky Afield on my boat for 2 shows in '08 their "The Turtleman" episode was the focus of at least 2 hrs of conversation (laughter). I agree Noodlers don't have nothin' on the Turtleman and neither did I.

    I've been snapped at plenty of time in my years. Don't ever underestimate the length of a snapping turtle necks!
