Where to find them in high river: shallow banks and near heavy cover, out of current.
Where to find them in high lake: don't know don't fish lakes.
where to find them in low river: deeper pockets and faster current to avoid the low levels of oxygen and lathergic fish.
Where to find them in low lake: don't know don't fish lakes.
Where to find them in the morning: I still fish the shallow flats outside of cover and pockets, until sun is out..
where to find them in mid day: right up in the nasty stuff.
Where to find them in evening: Near cover, shallow flats downstream of cover, undercut banks. This is where I set up before nightfall
Where to find them at night: see above

Where to find them in high river: Basically in the "back swirl" in the inside of bends.
Where to find them in high lake: If there is water flowing from the creeks in to the lake thats where they will be.
where to find them in low river: Deeper holes unless the oxygen level is down and then they will be along side those holes where the "air" is better.
Where to find them in low lake: Depends. Again oxygen levels, but usually on flats with cover and deep water nearby.
Where to find them in the morning: Leaving the flats heading back to cover and deeper water.
where to find them in mid day: Overcast, edge of flats, bright sunny, usually on the drop offs.
Where to find them in evening: Coming from cover and deeper water toward the flats. They will normally start to feed along the edge of an old channel.
Where to find them at night: Blues will feed everywhere, channels-shallow gravel, Flaties depend on the time of year.
Favorite bait used for them: Shad or 3 inch shiners or chubs, flaties 5 inch blue gill, if I'm fishing for channels in the creeks I use crawdads.
Favorite time of day to fish for them: Whenever Grandma "makes" me go with her.
