Downsize your baits and fish slower.

Wyliecat just posted a good winter fishing video on downsizing baits, presentation, and dragging / drifting.

my fishing partner and I use crappie and white perch fillets and largest gizzards we can cut year round, but then again we don`t drift... we catch them anchored on structure where there is bait present, high sun and no cloud cover means deeper water. :cool2: we catch our fair share, 1-11-09 several fish over 25, biggest we caught was a 42 lber, and btw we were fishing in a 50k acre lake !! water temps are in the lower 40`s right now.

man your goina get frustrated as he(double hockey sticks) trying to fish in the winter but every now and then it pays off. From what i been doing these last few weeks all i can say i learned about fishing in the winter is what the river looks like during the day so i can drive wide open at night LOL. but dont give up.
