When we were kids, we used old car tires for catfish traps, We would nail the center of the tire together, then cut a 4 inch hole in one side and a 1 inch hole in the other side to drain the tire , We would put them in 3 to 5 ft. of water in a cove and check them every week in the hot weather. Caught a lot of eating size catfish, and had a lot of fun. Has anyone ever catfished this way?.........
