Catfish in Alaska?

    My buddy & his wife just got back from spending a year in Alaska.He was telling me that catfish is in high-demand there because there's no cat's to be caught.Is this true?

    One of the In-fisherman catfish insider mags said that they were some channels in some of those bodys of water.

    I lived there for 9 years and moved down here to Arkansas in 2003 and I can Tell ya there are no Catfish in Alaska. If There is a place with them it would have to be down in the very Southeast tip around Ketchikan. They have a fish up there that kinda in a wierd way resembles a catfish but it is called a "Burbot". But NO CATFISH.
