Catfish growth rate?

    They are opening a lake back up (Carroll Lake), a small TWRA lake here in West TN that was drained to work on levee and spillway. They restocked it 3 years ago. I think they stocked both blue and channel cats in it. Anybody have an idea what size, approximately, these fish would be now?

    There was a thread about this subject not too long ago. You should be able to find it using the search button.

    Lots of factors involved.
    Just a guess. 8 - 10 lbs. max

    The bait gets impacted when a lake is drained too. With lots of food they can grow considerably fast. With less food they may only grow a pound a year at most until things get rolling.
