catfish caller

    has anyone heard of this thing, i do alot of searching on the internet for new ideas and strategies for catfishing, try and better my luck. anyways if you do not know what this thing is, its supposed to be some sort of wistle to call cats from under the water, it has been said to be used in the UK for years....

    i belive its called a konk ... i think a member of the BOC tryed that out a few years back it still might be in the libary?

    Something like that MIGHT work if used in conjuntion with feeding each time it's used.
    I have small cats in a fish tank .They stay hidden most of the time. just before I feed each after noon I tap on the glass on the tank .They come out to be fed and stay till I feed them . Those cat learned that real fast [about a week]
    Try it maybe they will like it

    Yes, I have an oppinion on them, LOL!!! They are not welcome in my boat!!!! You might as well throw rocks in the water and stomp on the floor of the boat, it is the same thing. Sure they might work for wels cats in Europe, but, we don't have them here in the states. I think they catch alot of fishermen though, LOL!!!

    Was given one in a catfish tournament as a door prize. It's a piece of crap. Might be ok for a trotline weight
