What is the best way to use clams for bait ? Do you marinate them in some sort of liquid ?Do you add anything to them like making a stink or dip bait or just cut them up and put on a hook ?

I've never used clams as a catfish bait. Actually I've never even considered it an option until now. Do they work? Guess now I'll have to try. I imagine you could cure them with some garlic powder to stinkin' them up a bit. Not that clams need help to stink :eek:oooh:

Clams are great catfish bait! No need to soak them in anything. Just crackem open and pull out the meat and put in on the hook. Make sure you thread the tough muscle part on your hook. It will stay on for a long time. It is tough as nails! And it will catch catfish!!!
