Buffalo makes good cutbait. Used it drifting and tightlining with good results. No reason it shouldnt work on trotlines.

Yes it makes great bait on trot lines. ALso you use if fresh or cut into bait size and add water. Sit in sun for about 6 hours in cool weather . And its great bait.
In summer time when its hot. WE always took a glass jar, Cut the bait up added water. Then sit the jar in the ground in a hole. Cover the hole and let it sit there. Most times if the ground is good and warm. The bait will take 8 2 16 hours.
Will catch fish like crazy. smells bad but the fish love it.
Most of the time we use skip jack for this. but at times the buffalo will catch better.

    ummmmmm

nope, sorry, Buffalo (as in Bison) doesn't get a chance to get on a hook around me. Cook it up and eat it, too expensive to use as bait.

    Tony,

    Buffalo (as in the fish)

I've cut up several large buffalo for my jug lines and have done quite well with it.
