Has anyone ever heard of a catfish anywhere ever attacking a human? As large as some of these cats get globally, I have not heard of anyone ever being attacked by one. We all know they are predators and some could very well take a child down.
South America and the Mekong river. Both were brought up on an National Geographic Explorer program. I'd like to get a hold of one big enough to try! lol:crazy:oooh::smile2:

I can't find a link, but a year ago or so, I saw a report of a biologist that got bit on the foot by a flathead, and it held on until he got back on the bank, then the fish let go and swam off.:smile2:

Pa Kettle recorded 3/4 of A national geo. movie and in south america a 65lb bouy was ate and the fish washed up a few days later boy in mouth-choked to death.I cant rember who has it now:wink:oooh:oooh:
i dont have any photos and most of the witnesses have passed on to that big river in the sky but in my younger days i myself have been attack 100s of times.i use to be a tresure hunter and id look for it by swiming around and sticking my hands up under holes in the bank or rotten logs sometimes under rocks.im here to tell you when your exspecting to find a diamond or ruby and one of these vicious animals grab you and jerk a wad of skin off its enough to make a man scared of the water.
I know a guy who knows this other guy who said he heard of a guy who read about a guy who has a relative who is married to a guy who works with a guy who is a diver..........:smile2::smile2::smile2:...W
I talked to an unerwater welder out of Chicago about 7 years ago when I worked at the casino boat and asked him how big of cats he had seen and he said he had about a 40# catfish bite the torch. I bet that was a first and last for that cat.
