Was thanking about trying baby catfish as bait, But where do you hook them?:confused2:
If you are talking about bullheads hook em behind the dorsal fin and let them swim around.Any other catfish, throw em back.
i think bullheads are one of the top four baits for shovels.
Bullheads are good bait. Baby Channels will work as well. We usually end up getting some in the cast net, they are hard to get out also. I'll usually try anything that swims or anything I can get. Never know what they are gonna want to eat that day...:big_smile:
isnt that illegal?or am i thinking of something else?:confused2:
I know in my state you can't use Catfish for bait but bullheads are ok to use
I tried using a bullhead one day and had no luck. But that doesn't mean anything. Could have been just one of those days.
Isnt a bullhead in fact a catfish?or is it considered something else?
Always have heard bullheads are good bait for flatheads. Hook them behind the dorsal fin.
