I have only fished through a thunderstorm a couple of times at night fishing off a sandbar. During those times I have found that the bite did shut off on the shelf I was fishing, but after the storm had passed the fish moved back up on the shelf. I have no idea Wether or not they retreat back to their holes during the storm.

ive always heard that thunder makes em frisky.

after a good thunderstorm, tributaries are the place to be! after a good turd floater, fish will congregate at the mouth of a tributary because it is delivering freshly oxygenated water from the runoff.
