I went to the river this morning with some cut bluegills.
Got stung by a bee and broke off by a fish and the video ended
before I brought a 24 inch channel cat in.

It don't get much more real than this.
I also left one of my rod holders in the first spot I fished.
Green rod holders are hard to find in green weeds by the way.
Just a horrible day.
I loved every minute of it.

ell Stacee, sounds like a typical day for some folks. You didn't actually say you were able to find your rod holder but I am taking it that you did. I hope you didn't hurt that poor little bee that was just defending himself. And I hope the pain when away quickly. I got into some yellow jackets last fall and got stung 4 times. It hurt for a day or so and itched for two weeks.

I also see you have fallen into the groove. The video ended and the fish was HOW LONG? haha

Glad to hear you made it out.

I went out to make a do over video at night in the same spot as last time.
Now if I could just get a hook in every fish that bent the rod.
Pretty much non stop action with the gar bites. I have pretty much gave up in paying attention until I see the rod keep bending.
Fish were caught on video so that makes it a ?

Quite a few bass fisherman out this morning. It was nice and cool and cloudy.
Someone had my parking spot so I tried another place. Got two take downs but nothing hooked up.
Reeled the live bluegill in and the hook came out and was hooked back into his side.
The skunk buster was a little channel cat that I caught on red worm trying to catch bait.
Got a visitor that had to fish for some bass next to me on video.

I don't want to make any money folks I just love to catch catfish super chat

Caught a couple channel cats this morning on the White River.
Hopefully I got both catches on video so I can post next week.;)

I had caught a 5lb plus and an 8lb Saturday night but somehow didn't get the video of the 8 pounder.
The 8lb channel was caught on a live rock bass and the 5lb was caught on a shiner head.
Then so much gar action it was crazy.

Haha, if my wife had the T-shirt shown in post #850 she would write in the word DON"T after the word you. But I decided to keep her anyway.

Stacee needs to figure out how to catch some of those gar to thin them out. Too many gar spoil the spot.

Thanks for the video Stacee. I will be watching for the one on the White.

I went out on the small river in the rain around 4 p.m.
Wanted to fish under the railroad bridge since it was raining but there was a bass guy there.
I moved down river a little and about 5 minutes later he is there behind me fishing.
We chatted a bit and talked about fishing and how great the day was just being out fishing.

I caught 1 channel cat on video and left before 7:30 p.m. soaked like a river rat.
Ready to go out there and track more small river catfish down because I have more bluegills left.

Tom I was thinking ultra light gar fishing.
Then of course using the gar as cut bait.

I was talking to the camera when the rod went down. :)
Nice Grayish channel cat that was a feisty one.
One turtle was a normal size while the other one was a biggun.

I went to my bait pond today around 6 p.m. to catch some bluegills.
The shad were flipping and there was dirt stirring around in the water.
Quickly I went back to the car to get my cast net.
2 throws and got a gallon baggie full of nice size shad.
I never could catch any bluegills probably tried for 40 minutes.
Then I went back home to get some of the shad in the freezer and then went to the White River.
I got set up around 8:30 p.m. and left a little after 11 p.m.
Very few bites but finally one hooked up at 11 p.m. on a center section of shad.

I went out on the Flatrock River this morning trying to track down a spot to catch a catfish.
Didn't find any new spots but had to hit the spot I have caught one on the way back.
I was a little late getting home for lunch so now I'm in the doghouse.
Barbecue chicken and mac n' cheese and green beans.
I'm sure glad I caught a small channel before I left before noon.
I ran into this cool looking turtle along the way.

The land tarpons are nice but I don't usually get to see them like that. So many times they are on the road and a lot thinner. I always stop (when I can) and help them get across the road.
