Where is the best place to get shad this time of the year. From a bank now not a boat. Have tried a couple of my normally lucky spots with no luck. They haven't come into shallow water yet or what. Only thing I have done so far is lose a net today. Darn rocks anyway:eek:oooh:.

try along dam walls when the water comes down. try pulling your net in as soon as it hits the water. in my area in lakes i find shad late at night or early in the morning along clay banks more than anywhere else. i don't know why but they prefer that in my area. as the sun goes down in cam water you can see the riples on the water frm shad schooling. try to do some more scouting before you throw the net and it will help you avoid hang ups.
