Can you catch shad on the SABIKI Rig? I catch all of my shad with cast net but at night when i anchor down and cat fishing or crappie fishing the lights from the boat attract shad but i dont want to throw cast net where I'm setting there fishing? any ideas on catching shad on rod and reel?

Can you make them or is it best to buy them? Also what size hook is best for shad?

Do sabiki rigs fall under the 2 hook per line rule or is it considered legal baitcathcing equipment. I'm sure it varies by state, but I'm curious about it.

you can buy them or make them. i bought a couple, and they work, but man what a pain (too many hooks).

WylieCat showed me how to make them with drop loop knots, and that's what i'll do from now on.

Tom most of the shad that I have caught were snagged. I was trying to catch skips but pull the rig thru a bunch of shad and snagged them.
