I got one of these pop up wells for fathers day and thought it would be trouble from the get go. Turns out I was right. The "Super tough poly-mesh", was nothing but trouble when it came to catfish barbs. The funny thing is the pictures on the package shows catfish going in the basket. I lost a good hour of fishing trying to get a channel out of the thing after it became stuck in the tube. This product is now on my don't recommend list to be polite about it. Live and learn though. Here is the website for the product if anyone wants to see a picture of it. www.shorelinepro.com

I can see how it would be worthless for catfish, but would probably work well for bass, crappie, or baitfish. I won't waste my $$$ on it. Thanks for the info.

brought it a few times to put catfish in, and its just a pain to get them out when it comes time to cleaning or releasing, now i use a strainer, so its pretty much the same problem, so i hear ya, thanks for the info
