Hi folks I have a 3 year old catapa tree and I was wondering how you start the worms do you have to get some and put them on the tree or do they just come on there own?

If there are other trees fairly close they will come on their own. If you
have no cataba flies in your area to lay eggs on your tree you may have
to get some worms and place them on your tree. I have seen trees that
had worms in the past stop having worms due to a brush fire or drought
that killed the grubs in the ground. You would have to put worms on the
tree to start the cycle back.

I have several trees spotted out, but have never found worms on them.
