I have used catalpa worms in ponds with good results. Wondered if they would produce the same in big lakes? Going to lake marion friday night and thought i would bring some along.

yep, they work the same in the lake, though if you are after big fish, that would not be my bait of choice

Does anyone know where you can get some Catalpa worms in York County?

I wouldnt expect to catch any big fish with them but you can load up on some nice channel cats on them.

I agree with this, that is if you can keep the bait fish from eating them first. They also love them!!!:big_smile:

Hopefully the baitfish will like them, so then we can keep plenty of fresh bait for the blues and flatheads. If the channels want to provide some action inbetween the monsters biting, then that will be ok to.

We will in the area of 16 island tonight if anyone is fishing.
