catalpa worms

    was the catalpa worm harvest in the state as good as it was here in mulberry? i have never seen them like that as long as i can remember. they were crawling everywhere. they were on the pourch, deck, maple tree trunks, drive, trying to get in the front door. you could pick-up 2-3 doz. and go back in the house and come back 20 min. later and do it again. this went on for several days. i have never seen it this good. you did not need long poles to harvest them. just pick off the ground....

    we didnt have a harvest at all here.seems like all the worms have died.mike you dont have to use a long pole on your trees if you go out at daylight they will crawl down and you can just pick them off the tree

    Mine was scarce here. I had some but not as good as some previous years.

    we still had worms on the trees last week
