catalpa worms

    Today I went and checked my Catalpa trees and I have small worms. Iam in Mid Tennessee. time to start looking for bait

    Blows my mind that you've got them already; it's been as late as July before they appear on my trees before.

    Are these trees in bloom now?

    my trees are not in bloom but they starting, in a week perhaps ten days.

    I just checked my big tree, no worms, probably 2-3 weeks before full bloom; telltale sign of worms for us are usually chewed leaves, and then it's still a while until they're at their 'prime size'.
