Aaron I have several 7000c3 matched with Quantum Big Cat Rods, I like the med/hvy size so that I have a little tip action. For 6oz of lead you might want to go to a Heavy action. These rods have worked well and have had no breakage problems. There are a lot of good rods out there. I hope this helps.

HEY AARON IF YOU NEED A POLE THAT LONG, THAT WILL HANDLE THAT MUCH LEAD, I WOULD PROBABLY RECOMMEND A SURGE CATFISH SERIES ROD ALTHOUGH I DON'T OWN ONE YET, I'VE HEARD NOTHING BUT GOOD REVIEWS FROM THOSE WHO DO.

Lamiglas Triflex 9' casting with MH action is a great rod.

I think u would need to go with a heavy action rod.
