Cast net on the rocks!

    I know just about every one that has used a cast net below a dam has got the net hung up on rip rap rocks . This is what I do I just send my trotline drag down the main line of the net . The drag will catch webbing of the net and pull it from around the rocks

    If it gets stuck just pull it out and repair the holes. I used mine around those areas, but don't let it hit the bottom. Let it drop and close it before it hits the bottom or stay on sandy areas with it. Use your depth finder and locate the bait and go get it.

    what is a trotline drag? have any pics? sounds like a great idea!

    take a 1inch diameter rebar12 to 16 long and weld a big washer to one endon the other end bend some 3/8 inch rebar or u bolts aand weld to 1 inch like a treble hope this helps
