It appears not many use this thread much anymore, but I was given a gift earlier this year from my brother (his brother-in-law made it). I thought some of you might like it. I sure wish I had the patience for do such high detail work.

Everything is wood on it except the leather shoe laces for whiskers. This is the first catfish he has every done, so I was mighty impressed. It is about 12" long.

Chad, that is some good looking wood working there. It has been so hot not many folks have been out in the shop for a while. Thanks for sharing with us.

Yes, he does nice work. He didn't think people would be interested in catfish so he never tried one. I have one other fish of his, a crappie that I will attach as well. Fish is about the only thing he carves and he sells them at local craft shows. I am going to copy him your responses, because I am sure he would be glad to know how much people who love catfishing like his work.

Those fish carvers, along with bird carvers really get into details. They look so lifelike. Welcome to the BOC, Chad.

Great, I can't wait to see what you have going. I personally wish I had the patience to do it, but I am much better with larger projects anyways.
