Recently, I have been catching a carplike roughfish in the Iowa River which has all of the characteristics of a grass carp...EXCEPT... the fish has bristle-type teeth in the jaw. What carp has teeth in the jaw area? These fish have their mouth at the bottom like a sucker and their eyes are set low like a grass carp. The fish are silvery-white with large scales and have been in the 7 to 10 pound range. They often jump when hooked and then stay down like a catfish. Once they see a human, they panic and thrash....even when worn-out. Anyone know of carp with teeth?
