Carp vs. Sucker

    Whats the difference between a carp and a sucker???

    Carp and suckers have allot of similarities. I think carp can get bigger depending on the type of carp and the type of sucker. Suckers have a little different body structure. Suckers unlike the common carp do not have barbells(whiskers). Other than that I really don't know.

    Suckers make better cat bait here in Illinois than carp. IMO

    i know carp are in the minnow family, not sure if suckers are. carp are alot easier and alot more fun because of there size to catch.

    the other difference I know is I have caught carp and haven't caught a sucker lol. I heard they are good bait, but so are small carp.

    here i ohio carp make a great flathead bait. and dead suckers curled and stomped. for those blues.
